In this role you will investigate Short Term disability claims and makes determination on claims settlement within authorized guidelines

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervises team of claim specialists.
  • Manages workflow; screens and distributes work based on skill level.
  • Ensures adherence to performance standards, resolves client service issues, and maintains data integrity.
  • May review, record, and analyze data to make claims settlement determination.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required
  • Assists with people management responsibilities, including hiring, firing, promotions, performance and compensation management, and training and development

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required

  • 3+ years of disability Insurance Experience
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal
  • High School Diploma

 

Preferred

  • 5+ years of STD Disability Insurance experience
  • Experience with Paid Family Leave
  • Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Bachelor’s Degree
