Reporting Analyst - Separate Accounts

Role Value Proposition: 

Responsible for the day to day activities for Retirement and Income Solutions separate account portfolio which includes separate account valuation, analyzing cash flow, cash flow notification, processing separate account cash flow, and interaction with MetLife’s investment managers and custodians.   


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages a portfolio of assigned separate accounts with daily responsibility for transactional handling, reporting and valuing
  • Review of cash flow for Separate Accounts and subsequent communication with the Separate Account’s investment manager
  • Review, confirm and approve MetLife’s investment manager invoices for payment
  • Work independently and performs tasks in support of the Separate Account’s internal and external partners including Client Relations, Stable Value, IPG and Closeout administration teams, Pricing, Valuation and Custody
  • Responds to ad-hoc requests for custom reports and inquiries
  • Uses subject matter expertise and judgement to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Executes special projects assigned by management and senior associates efficiently and within the allotted time frame
  • Gathers data for both internal and external audit requests, demonstrates team functions and processes to auditors as needed


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • 1-3+ years experience in investments, financial services, or other related field
  • Strong accounting / analytical background
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates accuracy, attention to detail and proven ability to work cross functionally to meet goals
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve when dealing with tight daily time frames and expectations essential with Separate Account valuations and cash movement
  • Ability to assist the team and partners in facilitating reports, statements, issue resolution and anticipating and understanding the client and partner needs and planning solutions to meet those inquiries



  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work independently and meet timelines with strong team communication as well as keeping their management in the know
  • Ability to ensure timely handling of system and service issues, partner escalations, projects, organizational initiatives, reconciliations, and system testing
  • Strong working knowledge of Office support products
