The product consultant role we be part of the team that has responsibility for all aspects of the Home Line of business. This role focuses on improving and designing the products and processes involved in MetLife Auto and Home’s property line of business while achieving countrywide profit and loss goals.




  • Monitor and analyze product, marketing, and pricing trends to develop tactical and strategic recommendations that drive and support product objectives.
  • Identify and propose innovative solutions and enhancements to product offering, underwriting, pricing, and processes.
  • Conduct research of competitor filings, industry trends, and marketing tactics.
  • Participate in ownership of policy construction including contract language, forms and endorsements.
  • Use reporting strategies, tools and data analytics to monitor and report on product performance.
  • Collaborate with vendor and technology partners to evaluate and build solutions and enhancements to advance the product.
  • Collaborate with State Product Management, Claims, Underwriting, and Legal departments to resolve complex issues.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the Home product and supporting platform.
  • Independently manage complex projects and tasks while supporting business objectives.
  • Perform hands on Agile project work, including analysis, design, business requirement documentation, and change management.
  • Develop and execute product underwriting strategy.





  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2-5 years Product Knowledge in Personal Property insurance
  • Financial Acumen, and Analytical and Problem Solving skills
  • Ability to foster and encourage teamwork and productive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across departments
  • Knowledge of Product and Project Management
  • Underwriting, Pricing, and/or Claims Experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as proven ability to effectively present technical concepts to non-technical individuals
