This role reports to the director of global claims, customer service and vendor relations.


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Oversees a team responsible for managing critical relationships with external vendors including network management.
  • Responsible for understanding Service Level Agreement requirements and for managing vendors to those requirements.
  • Responsible for negotiating complex domestic and overseas vendor contracts, contract standards, and Service Level Agreements.
  • Responsible for partnering with Sourcing, Procurement, Legal, Operations, and other Lines of Business departments to develop or update contracts.
  • Responsible for developing and executing on a network strategy to increase direct pay percentage across the globe. This includes collaborating with TPAs network team to improve savings and assist with access to care issues.
  • Assist in setting metrics to monitor and measure performance to ensure customer needs are being met
  • Perform assessments of vendor performance. Create action plans to address underperformance
  • Weigh costs, benefits, and risks before recommending course of action
  • Responsible for supporting team with reviewing vendor invoices and providing finance with insights into billing variances.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to management, vendors, and other stakeholders



  • 10+ years related vendor management experience
  • 5+ years in the healthcare industry
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent of experience and education
