The Opportunity
Lead Institutional Asset Management recruiting efforts and partner with department leadership in the full lifecycle recruitment of high caliber candidates. Recruit and select staff from internal and external sources. Provide subject matter expertise to inform sourcing strategy. Build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates for recurring and hard to fill positions. Conduct screenings on all candidates. Develop summaries and provide recommendations to hiring managers. Manage candidate communication.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full lifecycle recruiting for assigned roles/teams, using passive and active sources
  • Lead the development of candidate hiring strategy with hiring managers that outlines timing and desired process
  • Build and maintain a diverse pipeline of highly qualified potential candidates. Maintain relationships with external sources of potential employees so there are proven high quality employment channels from which the firm can choose to recruit to meet its employment and employee branding objectives. Manage relationships with search firms as necessary, including contract management.
  • Conduct screening on all internal and external candidates for assigned searches, including resume screening, phone interviews, and face to face interviews. Provide candidate summaries and make recommendations on candidates as to qualifications for openings to hiring managers.
  • Manage candidate communication and experience throughout the hiring process. Provide status updates to hiring managers on open searches.
  • Develop recommendations for process and system enhancements to support recruiting efforts more effectively



  • 10+ years of full cycle staffing/placement, either within a corporation or from a search/placement firm required
  • Recruitment experience in institutional asset management preferred
  • Significant experience sourcing and networking for mid to senior level positions
  • Results-oriented individual who thrives on challenge, growth and change in a highly entrepreneurial environment
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients
  • In-depth knowledge of the Investment product sales process
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of managers and employee
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred


The wage range for this position specific to Colorado is ($71,700-$95,600). The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the MetLife Annual Variable Incentive Plan ("AVIP"). Your eligibility for and award of incentives are governed by the terms of the plan.
