Job Summary :

The SCC Technology Liaison II will serve as an expert of digital and paper post-sale communications and enabling tools to transform the generation and distribution of customer correspondence. This position will be responsible for partnership with business and IT organizations to define and execute omni-channel solutions to address customer needs, business priorities and support the MetLife strategy.  Responsible for executing initiatives focused on high value business outcomes and user experience. This position serves as an advocate and thought leader for the application of technology-based tools and innovative solutions to transform the generation and distribution of customer correspondence.

 

Functional responsibilities:

  • Under minimal supervision, the Technology Liaison II will:
  • Oversee medium to large technology projects and/or phases of projects of larger scope
  • Effectively translate business needs into application software requirements
  • Partner with SCC peers and business areas to identify opportunity to leverage digital technology and capabilities
  • Influence the adoption and use of tools and technology that advance capabilities, maturity and achieving meaningful business impact
  • Develop, present and deliver business cases and recommendations for tools and/or practices for positive impact to business and customer experience 
  • Effectively manages critical relationships with IT, consultants, vendors, internal end users and business customers/leadership
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to enable timely and accurate proof-of-concepts and implementation projects
  • Consult as an expert and trusted advisor on omni-channel experience on projects and with SCC peers
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, resources plans and status reports
  • Conduct product and competitive research and analysis
  • Ensure appropriate testing of tools prior to launch
  • Generate and track metrics that measure the effectiveness of deployed tools

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 5-6 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated expertise with digital technologies and executing digital innovation initiatives
  • Proven experience with document management systems and capabilities
  • Talent management skills a plus
  • Website design and/or SharePoint development experience a plus
