The Role:

As Digital Product Manager, you will spearhead the MetLife Pet digital portfolio with ownership of the evolution, performance, optimization and effectiveness MetLife Pet’s mobile app and websites. The ideal candidate is highly customer focused, has a strategic mindset, has a strong sense of ownership, is familiar working in agile, is a self-starter with the ability to manage priorities across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced setting and has experience in launching and managing consumer oriented mobile apps and websites.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own delivery and lead management of mobile app and web platforms
  • Develop and refine digital strategy and product roadmap and design relevant solutions that drive business goals
  • Track metrics and present data-driven recommendations to drive business goals such as consumer engagement, retention and revenue growth
  • Collaborate with Marketing Science to develop and generate user research and insights to be incorporated into the design and user experience
  • Partner with technical product manager, experience designers and business stakeholders to identify, prioritize and deliver new capabilities and maintain product backlog
  • Conduct competitor analyses and market assessments in fast growing markets and synthesizes data to inform digital product strategy and roadmap
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build alignment on digital roadmap and delivery of key initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal partners such as sales, marketing, distribution to develop go to market strategies and launch materials
  • Own issue management and collaborates with technology partners to resolve any technical issues

  • Reports to:  VP, Product Development – Pet
  • Direct reports/team: No direct reports
  • Key Stakeholders: Product, Technology, Marketing, Legal, Compliance


   Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Computer Science or related fields
  • 8+ years of proven experience in building and managing consumer facing web and mobile platforms (e.g. pet care, health and wellness, fitness, consumer financial services etc.)
  • 5+ years in a Product Management discipline, doing business analysis, market/user research, owning roadmap, and project plans.
  • Strong understanding of mobile and web design and user experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with iterative delivery (SAFe certification preferred)
  • Proven experience working with cross functional teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak to different audiences in their language (e.g. technology)
