Role Value Proposition:
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Messaging Team. The Email Security Engineer will work with the Messaging leadership and look for opportunities to simplify and automate tasks. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in global Messaging technologies with a focus on Cisco Email Security in addition to Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft O365. This is a global role that manages multiple modern email security technologies impacting operations in 50+ countries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in email cybersecurity strategies/roadmaps, evaluate and recommend enhancements in current solutions
  • Manage, maintain and monitor service uptime of Cisco IronPort/CES, Area 1, Abnormal Security and Exchange Online Protection
  • Support initiatives/projects meeting project schedule and milestones
  • Respond to and take ownership of Service Now tickets on end-to-end mail-flow, SMTP enablement, SMTP Relays and Microsoft Defender policies.
  • Create/Fix DNS SPF, DKIM, DMARC records
  • Develop technical documentation
  • Collaborate with vendors and global counterparts to maintain service availability


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 5+ years of email delivery and email security experience
  • Experience designing and implementing SMTP routing, Microsoft Exchange and other perimeter email solutions
  • 5+ years expert knowledge of advanced cyber threats, spam, virus, malware, content filters and mail policies
  • 5+ years in a messaging engineering position within a large enterprise environment
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, inclusive of written, verbal and listening
  • Customer Service orientation and strong teamwork
  • Extensive knowledge of DMARC, DKIM, SPF, TLS, DNS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft M365, Microsoft Encryption, Rights Management
     

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related discipline) or equivalent
  • Cisco Certified Specialist – Email Content Security or similar
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate or other related certifications
