The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from work of the Case Setup and Admin System Team.  Individuals in this role are responsible for delivering on test planning and execution expectations, guiding grooming and building of Acceptance Criteria for Features and Epics by system team members, confirming environment management planning ensures availability and collision avoidance, ensuring appropriate test data management strategies are in place and prioritizing the work and focus to streamline execution activities through manual and automated approaches.  You provide complete visibility into progress to plan, obstacles, and prioritization of work and ensure it is sequenced correctly.  You create shared understanding and clarity to increase confidence in a quality solution delivery and provide the team with a clear view of their responsibilities.

 

This is a critical role with significant accountability to build and manage relationships and responsibilities across  the agile teams and within the team.  POs work closely with the Scrum Master, Product Management, Customers, Business Owners, team members and other stakeholders to create viable and sustainable plans, and constantly seek feedback from multiple stakeholders incorporating into the plans.

 

POs share accountability with Product Managers for delivery outcomes and make decisions to solve product related problems.  You lead the creation and alignment of business scenarios and supporting details for product feature testing, so they are clearly understood by the agile teams. 

 

POs are effective at holding the team accountable to deliver outcomes by:  working with others to actively explore solution options, ensuring decisions are taken by those with accountability for delivering outcomes, and dedicating their effort to delivering value, that meet the needs of MetLife’s customers and our business goals. 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies  - Desired:

Strong knowledge of the supported business functions, systems, and processes.

Highly interactive along with good analytical capabilities to evaluate results

Knowledge of SAFe Agile Development Model along with experience in testing role and tasks

Knowledge of Azure, Jira or similar requirements tools

Knowledge of Quality Center, qTest or similar test management tools.

Possess strong knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

The wage range for applicants for this position is $98,600-$120,000. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
