Role Value Proposition:

The Marketing Analytics Consultant is a data-driven marketing professional focused on answering strategic questions that drive efficiency, opportunities, and improvements.  The individual will be focused on measuring efficacy of marketing programs and transforming insights into new initiatives.  The Marketing Analytics Consultant is responsible for collecting and analyzing marketing and related financial data that will help drive intelligent, data-driven decisions for sales and marketing managers.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead analysis of marketing, sales and business data to guide senior management on strategy and key business decisions using data and statistical analysis (e.g., informing go-to-market / commercial strategy)
  • Provide thought leadership and deliver fact-based, actionable insights that inform advisor and customer program proposals and provide the framework for selling stories (e.g., marketing campaigns and pilot programs)
  • Develop meaningful metrics that communicate performance results tied to strategic objectives and provide monthly financial reports for Sales and Marketing teams (e.g., maintain internal and competitive scorecards)
  • Conduct quantitative analysis including ROI, trending, opportunity assessment and risks, cannibalization, etc. to optimize promotional, product and pricing strategies
  • Maintain and continuously improve existing marketing mix model, provide monthly read-outs on performance with actionable insights and recommendations to optimize spend

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • BS or BA degree in a business-related field such as Marketing, Economics, or Finance
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in analytics or another field that requires reporting and analysis of raw data
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and quality of analysis, and ability to leverage data from diverse sources and drive actionable insights to guide strategy and drive sales
  • Consulting mind frame with the ability to quickly learn a variety of products, breakdown complex problems into components, present and discuss information to all levels of management
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, including working with large data sets, pivot tables, complex functions, and building dynamic financial models
  • Familiarity with a) Adobe Analytics and Marketing Cloud; b) statistical analysis methods; c) SQL, SPSS, SAS, R, HTML, Python; and d) syndicated marketing data such as Nielsen, Kantar, ComScore
