We are now looking for a Country Head of Information Security  (Country's CISO) to be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a robust security control environment for MetLife Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and Uruguay; and facilitate the rollout of Global Security strategies to safeguard the company's information systems, data and infrastructure.

 

 

What you will do:

  • Facilitate rollout of comprehensive cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the company's sensitive information and assets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of security awareness and best practices.
  • Identify and assess potential security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats, and devise proactive measures to mitigate them effectively.
  • Conduct regular security and risk assessments, and penetration testing to evaluate the effectiveness of security measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into business processes and systems development lifecycle.
  • Follow up key risk indicators, in order are managed at expected target in the countries under scope
  • Support the roll out of new control environment solutions and processes defined as part of global programs and strategy.
  • Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threats to continuously enhance the company's security posture.
  • Participate and host cyber security committees or risk-related bodies based in regulation requirements.

 

 

To help you succeed, you need to have…

  • Proven experience in information security and strong background in developing and implementing security strategies within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • An academic background in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA).
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) and their practical application.
  • Proficiency in security technologies, including but not limited to firewalls, SIEM, endpoint security, identity and access management, and encryption tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and at various levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security risks.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English is a must. Portuguese is desirable.
